Anyone know anything about these? I was going through an old box of stuff I had and found one speaker that was labeled Altec Lansing Multimedia ACS52 Computer Speaker System, With Phantom Bass(whatever the hell that is)

I've looked all over google and cant seem to find any information, but what I have found is that it's supposed to be a 2 speaker system. The one speaker I found can be plugged directly into the sound card but doesnt produce much sound, so I'm assuming that it's just a bass speaker or something. Looking at this one speaker it doesn't have any other ports to plug anything else into so I guess this speaker would plug into another speaker that is then plugged into the sound card, does that make sense?

what a fucking n00b. the stereo plug that you see plugs into the subwoofer which you don't currently see. Or, if it truly is just a 2 speaker system, then it likely plugs into the other speaker, which requires a power source in order to be amplified. I seem to recall the ACS52s, though, and they were definitely a 2.1 system. Go find that subwoofer, man.
