If the Texans pick Bush, he will be out of the league or with another team in 3 years or less. Their line is as bad as NCSU.

did any of yall see the debate between sean salisbury and eric allen on sportscenter? allen said the texans should trade the pick and fill holes, while salisbury claimed up and down that bush was a top 5 player in the league RIGHT NOW and should automatically be picked just because

not doubting bush or anything but how many 170 pound running backs are there in the league?

That would be the stupidest thing in the world having LT and Bush. That would be like having two of the best QB's in the league.

The Texans need to either trade their #1 pick for multiple picks or players and fill holes in the line. Or pick Bush #1 and then trade him for some better linemen.

I agree, what good is an awesome running back if your Oline sucks. Trade the pick and get several players/picks to fill some holes. Yeah he might break one off every now and then but in the NFL you need a consistant RB, hard to have that with a shitty Oline.

yea they dont' bush as bad as other positions, but like they say on ESPN everyday, Bush isn't the kind of player that you pass up on, no matter what kind of talent you have at running back

I agree

If you have LT and Bush... you should be kicked out of the NFL. Dumbest move ever.

They couldn't afford them, even thought they do have a nice cap situation

a year before young to be exact

bush wont play hb in the nfl. if he does, he wont be too effective at except in certain situations. hes too small and doesnt have the power to break tackles of nfl linemen and linebackers.

that seems to be the sentiment all over ESPN - bush deserves the heisman. fresno state. record. number 1 pick. move domanick davis (who they just resigned to a longterm deal). bush. bush. bush in 08. bush in 06. reggie bush. reggie *breathe*

needless to say, i don't agree with their assertion. i'm trying to look past bush, young, and leinart because the saints will have a top 7 pick for certain, and with all the attention those three have gotten it'll be the wednesday before the draft before we hear anyone else being discussed.

lol, no hes not, lt is like 5'10 220 bush is like 6'1 and a generous 200.

the lightweight hbs (dunn, tomlinson etc) in the nfl are low to the ground and are very strong and big with respects to their height.

bush is a tall standing sprint type and will not be a bruiser in the nfl. (he barely can be considered a bruiser in the pac 10)

look at the weights of hbs in the nfl over 6 feet tall.

hes a hell of a playmaker, has a knack for making guys miss, unlimited speed, can break tackles of smaller dbs and has great hands=wr

not that i think he needs it, but don't you think bush could add a few pounds?

gale sayers was the same size and he did alright. i'm not trying to be a dick but i would almost guarantee (no i don't wanna put money on it) that bush will be an nfl running back

As much as I hate San Diego, trading Rivers for the pick that drafts Bush is a brilliant move. They acquire the pick, draft Bush, and sell him to the highest bidder just like they did with Eli.

San Diego traded DOWN and got LT and Drew Brees in a trade for the #1 pick who turned out to be Vick. I would take LT/Brees over 3 Vicks!

And even if they could deal Bush away, it's not like they'd be required to draft Bush once the pick was theirs. I'm not sure of their needs, though, so I don't know who they would take. I'd just like to see Rivers the hell out of San Diego so he can play.

^^not if you had to sell seats, you wouldnt. I'm fairly certain vick has brought his team more money than LT+brees. chargers only just started filling their stadium.

It's not like the chargers are doing better than the falcons, either.

Of course they wouldn't be required to. They drafted Manning when they actually wanted Rivers, so why didn't they draft Rivers? Manning was the highest rated QB on numerous draftboards, so they struck a deal with another team that was in position to draft the guy they wanted, got him, and I think the Giants' next two or three first round picks plus some others maybe? Hell I don't remember.

^^they didnt use the pick they recieved from the falcons for brees, i dont think, i believe they chose him with the first pick in the second round which was theirs. but i would take LT anyday over Vick. Vick is a great athlete and can sell tickets and clothing and other shit now, but if he keeps getting banged up and misses games every year you will see all of that go downhill. Which would u rather have, the best RB in the league or the best athlete in the league that has the pass accuracy of a Ronald Curry?

^easy -- as a franchise owner, I'd want vick. As a fan, i'd want vick. As a pretentious faggot with a stick up my ass, I'd want brees+LT.

no offense to LT or anything, but vick is a more exciting player to watch. even if you watch just to hate

FYI, we did see vick out for a lot of games, and attendance for the falcons did not go down. Vick made people fans of the team. Merchandise will be selling for a long time. The money the falcons are already making makes up for a game missed here or there or even most of a season! You are just plain wrong in this regard.

If vick goes out for good, they can deal with that and still have done better in the meanwhile. Vick has a brother, after all!

Kansas City anyone? You have injuries to worry about and no coach wants a back running every down. With 2 backs you can have many more options in the backfield and keep everyone fresh...Larry Johnson is a great back and even when Priest Holmes was healthy he got carries...

Let's see, a top 3 RB, or a top 10 QB...hmmm...think I'd take the RB.

Vick is much more injury prone as well. I mean Vick has a cannon, just not a very accurate one and that offense is shaped around him. Vick in the SD offense would look terrible.

I think the Chargers have been making some great draft-trades the past few years. They got LT and Brees for the price of Vick. And then when they traded Rivers they got a slew of draft picks and paid less, all they had to do was pick up Manning and then they traded for Rivers(who was paid like a 5th overall pick, not 1st).

The Chargers clearly got the better end of the trade.

LT is the best RB to come along in a long time. And Brees will have a much longer career than Vick.

Eh, you can't really compare Johnson and Holmes. Wasn't Johnson like a 2nd-3rd round pick becuase of his size? They also picked him up becuase Preist had a few injury problems at that point. Completely different.... we're talking about having the #1 RB (Player!) in the league who is young and sturdy, then using a #1 overall draft pick to get Bush. No way.

Bush will be making a heckuvalot more money than LJ did when he got drafted
