that's right -- the content that used to be found at kenpom.com and midmajority.com is now going to be largely "insider" material at espn.com. so are these guys sellouts? maybe. i hate paid web content just as much as the next guy. i have no paid web subscriptions but obviously this is a profitable business model because if it wasn't then it would go away. i guess this is a bit more surprising since both of these guys come from the blogger community. but they need to make a living just like the rest of us. discuss...

"This date - 12-12-2005 - marks a key development in the history of The Mid-Majority, thanks to a key Mickey Mouse subsidiary formerly known as the Entertainment and Sports Programming Network. It's up to individual readers whether it's a Cinderella day or an evil cackling witch day.

Longtime readers of this site, the ones who followed along during its inaugural 2004-05 season, remember the semi-daily update on the mid-major world called "Daily Dribblings." Some have been wondering where the heck it went. Well, it's resurfaced as "The Mid Life," over there on ESPN.com, the official website of the Worldwide Leader In Sports.

The only difference is that now, ummm... it's not free anymore. You're going to have to pay $6.95 a month to read it.

"I’m off to do some stuff for espn.com. It’s all crazy and weird and I could say a bunch of stuff, but let’s not make too big a deal out of this.

So you may be wondering what will be happening here. Even if you’re not, I’ll tell you. Line o’ the Night will still be here and this will remain a place to reveal some of the mysteries and goings on around college hoops. But my more developed stuff will be reserved for the Disney folks. And sadly, that will probably mean less quality content here.
