i think SNL is back on an upswing despite its lack of people who are great on their own. the last few weeks ive found myself more humored than the past few years and actually watching it again.

that said the narnia rap last night made up for years of crappiness.

they had some random guy as the guest a few weeks ago . . . i was like wtf?

then he did a skit about wearing a big, hairy turtleneck to a party and halfway through, he starts struggling to take it off, crashing into tables and yelling, "it's like being raped by a wookie!"

that was pretty friggin funny.

the show is on the upswing because of the 3 guys they added at the end of the opening credits. they have a solo site with a bunch of videos. can't remember the url at the moment.

the 3 new guys are like sandler, spade, rock, farley, and the whole early 90's group. they do some funny stuff, and its trendy to say that they make the show run.

but hammond, sanz, forte, and armisen? theyre hartman, carvery, nealon, and lovitz. theyre the real guys that make the show great.

note that i am not comparing them as individuals, im comparing how big a role they play in making the show good again.
