I've never understood why McCain is viewed as anything but a conservative. I mean, he's not a Jesse Helms conservative or anything, but he's pretty decidedly to the right.12/18/2005 3:12:18 PM |

The current administration has redefined conservative to mean radical religious fundamentalist evangilist and liberal to mean anybody who disagrees with them.
In the past, conservative meant segregationist and before that anti government spending.
