Is it still too late to get tickets.I know you can't get them online anymore, could you possible get them at the RBC?

i too need one

i canceled mine by accident and found out shortly thereafter that the window was closed

....THIS is what I hate about the online system. there will be 1000 empty seats in the student sections and there's no way for kids to get last-minute tickets. it's Winter Break for Christ's sake. open up the box office for student tix like before

Is this supposed to be a well attended game? I know it's over break, but it is an ACC game. How did the student tickets go? Will the arena be mostly full, or still about like the other "warm-up" games?

there might be a decent turnout, but there will be lots of empty seats in the student sections

that's a given for a game over break

I posted this in chit-chat. This shit burns me to death. Any way to change this fucking excuse for a system? I'll be willing to bet that the RBC will be at less than 75% capacity today.

"Good luck picking up a ticket at the window. Ain't going to happen if our experience is any indication.

Yes, the online system for basketball is 50% silly. There's no way in hell the RBC will be a sellout today, and there's no way in hell to get seat as a student.

Hence:
-lost revenues from concessions
-lost potential noise for the home team
-lost potential numbers of students to impress recruits

This is fucking rediculous."

I've got 2 alumni tickets.... section 109 row M seats 7-8 and a parking pass

free to a good home....if you use them both and dont sell them

You'd have to pick them up from my place in Cary (Right off of HWY 1 ~ 10 mins from campus)

I just went on to the website last night and printed one for me and bought one for my dad... if student tickets are still left, you should be able to get them online

there's a long ass line outside the RBC Center of students waiting to get in, so there was definitely a good turnout

about letting the system allow you to get a student ticket up until game time, it can't happen...there's a long list of reasons why, but no amount of arguing over that will help...it's been beaten to death

they will work on ways to get around this, but giving out extra student tickets at teh gate will only create an atmosphere of all students waiting and there being no tracking available for students....again, there are legitimate reasons to keep tracking for future plans

anyway, I'm tired...peace out

there may be a long list of reasons for not allowing the online system to work up to tipoff, but mind giving us some?

uhm... Reason #1: It ISNT that hard to just get a fucking ticket online. And if you accidentally cancel your ticket like some people are whining about, you're just a damn moron and shouldn't be going anyways.

^^search for it if you really care. He has listed several on many occasions. Hell, he listed 2 right there.

1. giving them out at the gate doesn't allow them to track students with the system
- the reason for this is because they plan on implementing a reward system for going to early games
- and so they can easily keep track of how many students go to the game
2. would create a large amount of people waiting before a game to get a ticket instead of using the system, which then creates more problems associated with tracking people

im too lazy too look for more.

i'm sure that since the system is all online now, there's a way to track which seats are taken and which aren't

why can't those empty seats be claimed before the game, say 90 minutes prior to tipoff like in the past?

and yes, there were a LOT of empty seats around section 127

just so we're clear, the system is actually smart enough to fill in the seats from floor up....so when you see empty seats on the floor, those are students who got a ticket and didn't use it

I will continue to advocate for GA by section in RBC just like we used in CF...but here's the main prob w/ that

any motion in the lower bowl of RBC is highly distracting to the players...and they don't want to have too many people in a section and have to send police in to take care of it...because it would be distracting...that's why when they were pulling seats out to get ready for a hurricanes game during one of our bball games they would only move around when there were timeouts

it doesn't really matter, they won't change things by Jan. and by then there wont be a problem cause ACC season will have started and it should be pretty full\

But the one thing that would be really nice for the games where a lottery isn't even used is a way to get a seat with a couple people together during the on-demand phase. It is kinda hit or miss requesting them at the same time.
