You have to go to dealer school. Expect at least a year and hefty up front costs. Its kinda difficult to get picked up after school too. You'll likely work for a shitty casino several years before being picked up by one anyone has heard of. Then, if you're attractive or people seem to get lucky around you, then you get a high paying job that's tons of fun (if you're a gambler). 12/20/2005 8:56:38 PM |

I have a buddy who moved to Vegas a few months ago and is dealing at one of the older casinos (I believe it's either Binions or the Golden Nugget, but I'm not sure). To my knowledge, except for having experience from dealing games around here, he did not have to do anything but go there and say "I want to be a dealer." I think what happened was some of the dealers there "auditioned" him at their home game and gave him a few pointers and that's all he had to do to get the job. 12/21/2005 5:51:39 AM |
