sounds like he'll be back in school next semester. Other than the potential of BS coming here, this is the BIGGEST recruiting news this year. Great news! I thought he was the 2nd best DE last year.

Will he be a Soph or Jnr?

I thought he was a RS Freshman in 04 so that may make him a RS Jnr

if i remember correctly this was his path:

came in '03 - left school, home sick, a parent passed away i think.
came in '04 - played as a TR FR.
'05 - left school, academics this time?

so i think that could qualify as a redshirt year? giving him, like said above, 3 years to play.

i guess no one really cares about the possibility of a proven bad ass DE coming back to the team..

He will be very much needed with the departure of mario and manny.

I think it was discussed quite a bit in the Mario Williams thread.

Brooks is the biggest factor for us for next year. No recruit could match what he'll bring to the team
