personally i've always liked seagate more than maxtor but mostly because of the 5 year warrenty that seagate gives you instead of the year that are on most maxtors

^I've had my WD 80 gig SE for 3 or 4 years now. never had problems until I type this. I'll come back to Raleigh and my computer won't boot
