Here is the situation...

We have 2 computers actively hooked up to the router

1- My computer loses DCHP as soon as it boots up, but you can come back to it and it has it again.
2- I am currently on my computer and connected to thewolfweb.com and AIM but cannot see any other sites
3- My wifes computer suffers from no problems
4- I can ping her computer but sometimes I cannot ping the router

I have tried
1- Connecting to a different port on router - doesn't help
2- Reseting modems, rebooting, all that crap
3- Connecting straight to the cable modem - everything is ok

So is my router dead?

have you tried swapping the cat5 plugs from your computer and your wife's computer to the opposite router ports?

Sounds like your computer to me. If the wife has no issues, I would keep looking at your machine.
