Looking for some more opinions about these classes. I have to chose between the 2 for the Spring Semester.

421 - EDMONSON
435 - JJBRICKLEY

435 is a great class to have. it might be a little tough but not bad. definately take. I think Brickley is the only one that teachs it so you're stuck there. he's not bad tho other than always coming in late and never giving out enough information

I think Edmonson is a new professor. So I'm not sure how he's going to teach 421. I took it with Duel-Hallen this past semester - it was basically a repeat of 301 but a bit worse somehow. Waste of time really...but again Edmonson might actuallly do the right thing and do a quick review of 301 stuff and then jump right into Z-transforms. I thought it was going to be an interesting course but it didn't turn out that way.

Brickley is the only person who teaches 435. I've heard people complain about how bad the class is and then some say how good it is - but then they start putting some conditions on it like he walks in late, gives you the information you need to do the hw the day its due (or something like that), etc.

Apparently he has used the same notes for a very long time - so if you had a copy of somebody's notes and sat in class with them, you'd be writing down the exact same things.
