Also I have heard rumor of a few copies of free VMware software to be given away!

Sweet, pre-ordered the pizza's today! Turns out 2 VMWare reps and one Programmer's Paradise rep will be at the event. Should be fun.

Love the reaction when people realize they can run linux, windows, or whatever you want right inside of XP.

And I'm not even gonna mention how cool GSX and ESX are ;-)

how likely will it be that vmware will release a product for the new intel-based macs? i have a powerbook, and using microsoft virtualpc, windows xp and linux crawl, and would love to see a better product work.

not sure why i'd want to go, vmware is pretty easy to figure out (at least from a workstation standpoint). plus its in goldsboro.

ever tried ESX or GSX server. The VMware workstation doesn't have half the features that make VMware an amazing product. Imagine replacing an OS's hard drive without ever taking the OS offline. VMware VMotion allows you to move running VM's between hardware ESX host servers so you can move all the running VM's from one ESX server to another ESX server. Once moved then you can replace the hard drive boot back up ESX and move all the VM's back.
