Jones III sided with eight families who argued that "intelligent design," which attributes the existence of complex organisms to an unidentified intelligent cause, is biblical creationism in disguise. The school board said it was trying to improve science education by exposing students to alternatives. But the judge said the board's real purpose was "to promote religion in the public school classroom," and said intelligent design could not be taught as an alternative to evolution in biology classes. Most of the school board incumbents who had defended the policy were ousted in the November election, replaced by candidates who pledged to eliminate it. why not just teach all three of em at once








in college. leave this shit out of K-12 education, and let students who want to learn about this stuff take anthropology/creationism/darwinism/whateverthefuck in college, this way the ninny-ass parents out there who make a big deal out of this mess can relax

Because they grow up being made to go to church (more than likely) and you know the church isn't going to stop teaching kids what it want until they get into college.

The problem I have with stressing evolution as being a theory is that creation is taught as fact. It doesn't allow for the whole free will thing.
