Any one ever replaced the starter on a 91 Accord? I can see it I just don't know if there is anything tricky about replacing it like some hidden spring or something I will never be able to get back on. Any tips or suggestions?

naw, like any other honda. should be strait foreward. just loosen shit and take it off to get the alt. out, and put all that shit back on.

the starter probably does NOT need replacement, but a set of fresh contacts.

^what optmusprimer said...IF it's a Nippondenso starter, and not a Mitsuba.

Two bolts (one will be long, the other short), two wires (one with a plug, the other much bigger on a bolt terminal), and you're free.

Do make sure you unhook the battery, though, as the big wire is hot all the time. Won't do to short that one out.

Or, if you are intimidated by the job (and understandable if you might be), I can do it for a reasonable fee.

Thanks cornbread and everyone else. I tried with all my might to losen those mounting bolts but I can't get them to even budge. Have to try again tomorrow.
