i dont know, maybe the 3 preseason all-americans in their starting rotation and the fact that they have won 84 games in 2 years(45 from last year in which they return 5 starters from)

if you look at the poll, it has a lot of people who finished last year unranked all over the place, its a preseason poll that is pretty much guessing how people will do, i do see UNC, NCSU and ECU making noise this year in college baseball

(ECU isnt even ranked in that poll)

BA always does things a little different with their baseball rankings. I think they simply do it to get their name spread from threads like this (like what CBS Sportsline does with all of their polls, rankings, etc).

i got the 45 from tarheelblue.com, maybe this didnt include post season games? im not sure, or a typo on eithers part
