Got a question for all you computer-saavy people out there... I just came back to raleigh today after a month hiatus from my computer. When i turned it on it would load up to the windows 98 screen (yeah it's pretty old) then it would just go black; nothing more. When I restart it, it does the same thing every time. Does anyone know what could be wrong? This is really pissing me off. Did it just bite the dust.. or is there a logical explaination? Any feedback would be great. Thanks-

Did it have Windows 98 on it to begin with? You really need to upgrade.

it appears for just a couple seconds, but it looks very skewed, like there is definitely a problem with it. then it usually takes me to the boot screen and tells me windows didn't load properly last time so do i want to start it in normal or safe mode. i've tried both but the screen always either goes black or back to the boot screen. any thoughts? or am i screwed and need to upgrade to a laptop (i was thinking about buying one anyways). thanks a lot
