I've already heard about the horrors of this course, I was just wondering how Smirnova is as a professor. Apparently hasn't taught it in a while and was just hoping for some pointers regarding his teaching style and what to concentrate on when studying for tests? Any help would be great.

Um...if I am right, the professor is a woman...

she was my prof when i took pchem....i did fine(had an A) until the final exam...final exam was harder than anything we did in class, HW, or tests...ended up with a B in the class

Dr. Smirnova is a good professor. Her test are tricky but if you study well enough you will do just fine. She puts a pretty hefty curve on the final grades. I had a 55 average going into to the final. I made a 73 on the final and got a B+ in the class. Just study enough to stay around class average and you will do just fine in the course. Her tests are VERY similar from semester to semester. I have the book for the course and I'm selling it for $60. I have tests from last semester that you can have for free if you buy the book. i think i had Smirnova the first time she taught here....because she wasn't that good then...

i guess she got better as the semesters passed

Yeah, sorry she is a woman. She seems really nice. Thanks for the offer about the book Rooster, if I hadn't already ordered mine online would have bought it.
