Well, isn't this interesting:
Congresswoman's son, four others charged with slashing Republican van tires on Election Day
Color me shocked.
The sons of a first-term congresswoman and Milwaukee's former acting mayor were among five Democratic activists charged Monday with slashing the tires of vans rented by Republicans to drive voters and monitors to the polls on Election Day.
[...]
The activists -- all employees of the John Kerry campaign -- are accused of flattening the tires on 25 vehicles rented by the state Republican Party to get out the vote and deliver poll watchers Nov. 2.
Again, color me shocked.
A criminal complaint said the defendants originally planned to put up Democratic yard signs, placards and bumper stickers at the Republican office in a scheme they called "Operation Elephant Takeover." But the plan was dropped when they learned a security guard was posted at the GOP office, the complaint said.
Gee, after all the previous attacks on and vandalism of Republican offices, they didn't expect a security guard?
One witness told investigators the five defendants, dressed in "Mission Impossible" type gear, black outfits and knit caps, left the Democratic Party headquarters at about 3 a.m. on Nov. 2, and returned about 20 minutes later, extremely excited and talking about how they had slashed the tires.
I bet this plot was rejected by bad sitcoms as being just too ridiculous.
Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesman Seth Boffeli said the five were paid employees of Kerry's campaign, but were not acting on behalf of the campaign or party.
Yeah, I believe that. Tell it to the judge." |
I heard earlier today that these tire-slashing democrats are up for trial today. Anybody heard anymore about this, I'd like to find a more reliable source but I have been as of yet unsucessful.1/11/2006 9:01:31 PM |

Quote : | "Meet Larry Northern. The Texas man, 59, was arrested last night and charged with criminal mischief for allegedly driving his pickup truck over wooden crosses erected near the roadside campsite of Cindy Sheehan, the California woman who has brought her antiwar protest to President George W. Bush's Crawford doorstep. A row of the memorial crosses, which carry the names of U.S. soldiers killed during the Iraq war, were destroyed when Northern, a Waco resident, allegedly drove his truck (which was dragging a pipe and chains) over them. The crosses are part of an encampment Sheehan has dubbed "Camp Casey" in honor of her late son, a 24-year-old Army Specialist killed in action last year. Sheehan has said she will not budge from the road leading to the president's ranch until he meets with her to explain "why our sons are dead." Northern is a Waco realtor and gun enthusiast who has served as president of a local "shooting sports facility" (click here to see Northern and fellow gun club officers posing in front of an American flag)." |

Hey, look! I can post stories about partisan people doing stupid things that say nothing about people of their political philosophy in general, too!1/12/2006 9:25:25 AM |

Damn, could you be any more fucking hypocritical. I mean you already fucking did this! Specifically: http://www.thewolfweb.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=341762
Its exactly what you do with Republicans, Christian groups/churches, and the military. Here are a couple examples: http://www.thewolfweb.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=316049 http://www.thewolfweb.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=237259 http://www.thewolfweb.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=266940

first off, I know I already did that thread. I was just posting that story as an example of a similar situation and the fact that it doesn't mean because one republican would do something, all republicans would do it. Vice versa for democrats.
As for the other threads, this thread was directly intended to make it sound like if a democrat who worked for kerry's campaign did it, they were asked to do it by the campaign.

In none of my threads, and you can quote me on this, will you find me using as fallacious a tactic as anecdotal evidence to represent an entire group of people. Go ahead and try. In fact, you'll find me pointing out to tons of people that this is exactly what they're doing. I'm quite careful not to.1/12/2006 11:16:42 AM |
