Sup, i have an HP pavilion and it came with Windows medai center. i have already added all my programs and stuff and set it up the way i like it with the exception of xp pro. i was wondering if i upgrade it to xp pro, it shouldnt effect any of my programs and documents right?

if it came with XP Media Center edition, you are already running XP Pro.

^ not exactly true. if you want to put a media center pc on a domain, you're sol.

I stand corrected, but they do still include Remote Desktop and EFS.

there is a hack to allow XP MCE onto a domain, it was in a thread somewhere in Tech Talk
