My civic has 125,000 miles and when I got my oil changed the garage guy said I should get my timing belt replaced. I consulted my car handbook and it said the timing belt should be changed at 80,000 miles if I drove regularly in severe conditions but said nothing about normal conditions.
So, when should it be replaced and how much should I expect to pay? 1/16/2006 1:37:51 PM |

just did mine this weekend...first time its been done (208k), and everything looked damn good, belt even looked fine
a honda is still a child at 125k, but you may as well get it done for piece of mind, esp with zxappeal's rep/pricing 1/16/2006 2:52:07 PM |

the timing belt interval for the older civics was 60k if i remember correctly, the 2000 is reccomended to be replaced at 90k. 1/16/2006 6:10:05 PM |
