This is the next generation of the 550/575 Maranello. It'll produce 620hp @ 7200rpm from a 6 liter V12.

You can read more about it here: http://www.seriouswheels.com/top-2006-Ferrari-599-GTB.htm

personally, I would prefer the traditional Ferrari rear-mounted engine style.

Front-mounted V12s ARE the tradition as far as Ferrari goes, they started with the 166, Superamerica, GTO, 275GTB, Testarossa, etc, etc, the 550/575 was the heir to that Ferrari tradition and this is the next generation, it doesn't get much more traditional than that

I hate the scaglietti styling. Looks like the F430 is the only attractive ferrari.

^the testarossa is mid engined btw

it's a nice car until you realize it's a ferrari and they could have done so much better

^^So are the 288 GTO, Dino, 308, 328 and many many more but Punter is right, the traditional Ferrari is front engine.

i think i am the only one who prefers this to the maranello.

definitely an improvement.

much cleaner and sexier design.

oh, and the design is similar to the scaglietti, but i don't even like the scag. this looks tons better than the scag, because it is tighter, shorter, and more muscular. this kind of styling doesn't work for the long scag, but looks hella amazing for the next gen maranello.

edit: i do wish, however, that the back lights were the traditional twins, not these singles, which make it look kinda naked and bare from the back.

The original was (250 GT)

The 512 stole the moniker.
