My friend turned on his computer earlier today and he said after 10 minutes, the screen went blue and it rebooted. Once it rebooted, it had a "disk boot failure, insert boot disc and press enter" type message. Does anyone know what went wrong? He can't find his boot disc either. Any advice would be appreciated.

It means the MBR on the hard disk has been corrupted/deleted. When it ask for a "Boot disc" it means it needs a something to boot the computer from, whether that be a floppy disc, a CD/DVD-ROM, or another HD. How to go about fixing it is beyond my expertise though.
