so i saw a history of violence at the campus cinema tonight and it ended sort of abruptly (maybe intended) but then there were no credits and the lights didn't come on for about 10 min. so my friends and i just left. (along with 99% of the audience)

can someone who's seen a decent showing of it tell me the very last thing that happens in the movie so i can know for sure if it was over? the suspense (or lack there of) is killing me!

Call Witherspoon tomorrow morning and ask what happened. If you are lucky, they may reshow it for free. Let the rest of us know.

yeah family and dinner and whatnot, but then his eyes get all big and crazy like either something crazy is about to jump through the window, or its just one of those endings...

it had faded to black...I'm relatively sure it was over

and even if there was more, you wouldn't have been able to hear over those fuckers laughing

Worst movie I've seen in a while.

Horrible acting and script. I really liked the begining of the movie...it just lost it...

I was also confused at the end because there was no credits!

Stupid campus cinema.

^^they probably fucked something up, if it abruptly stopped. and they consistently fuck something up with the prints/focus/sound every time i've been there. i used to work as a projectionist, so i really notice these things, and it annoys me.

There could have been sensing tape near the end of the last reel. Sometimes it's on there so the house lights will cut on when the credits start to roll. When i was up there i would take it off, but sometimes it is easy to overlook a piece if it is small.

Unfortunately, that projector always cuts off whenever it hits the tape. You didn't miss any of the film, but they should look into fixing it anyway.

The movie was okay. Not great and not necessarily worth a second viewing, but since I saw it at the Blue Ridge theater I suppose I got more than my money's worth. I was expecting a LOT more graphic violence, though. I did find the sex scenes to be kinda hawt, though, especially the wife. She could easily get the dick on her own, but if she wears that cheerleader outfit....DAMN!

i thought that ending was money, powerful

edit: damnit i wanted to post in the movie thread :

Quote :
"i just saw it

i thought it was quality

the story was kinda schizo but i liked it

that ending was...wow...i dont know...just powerful

my reaction when he walked in the door and i realized how the movie was going to end, i said 'no way this ends this way' but in a good way.

i thought it was money to just leave everything peaceful yet completely unresolved in every way."

I rented it tonight.

5 minutes into the movie:

Girlfriend: You rented porn.
Me: This has far better acting than any porn I've watched and far worse acting than most movies I pay to see.

The cheerleader scene was undeniably hot.
