Resnet was fine all last semester and over break, but since about last week the speed has gone through the floor and packet loss is insane. Nothing's changed on my computer.

Any ideas on the cause (or ways for non-l33t people to figure out if someone's soaking up bandwidth)?

I know I don't pay Resnet to play video games, so I could take getting repeatedly lag-kicked from bzflag...but there's no reason sending a 25MB project file for class should take 60+ minutes and counting...

that's true...it shouldn't. especially if you're sending it on campus.

do me a favor and send email to me about it including your building and room, IP address and MAC address, and i'll add you to my list of people who say they're having packet loss. everyone else has reported it while gaming, but this is certainly more important. I'll check in to the port information tomorrow.
