The sub and center channel come from The Onkyo S780 Home Theatre System, which I own and highly reccomend. (The system recieved a 4.6 out of 5 rating from 256 reviews on circuit city's website--http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/oid/119865/rpem/ccd/productDetailReview.do#tabs)
This is a superb subwoofer that produces room shaking bass (Knocked a picture off my wall and shattered the glass in the frame, and regularly shakes dvd's off of my wall-hanging rack). Rated at 220W peak power, its a powered, front firing subwoofer with a 10" cone.
-Frequency response of 25 Hz - 150kHz, meaning this sub can handle a huge variety of highs and lows from DVD's and music alike. -Bass reflex powered -15 kohm/Line sensitivity
I'd keep this subwoofer in a heartbeat, but will be moving soon, and I've had to opt for a more compact subwoofer that will fit in my new place.
-In brand new condition (Recieved in December '05 as an Xmas gift)
The center channel speaker is being thrown in to add to the deal, its in perfect new condition, and has superb sound--
-110W Power handling (This is a much more accurate power rating b/c of the quality of the speaker--with most speakers today & their inflated ratings, you'd be lucky to get 40W) -THD .08% Rating -Bass reflex, dual 4" cone, 1" Balanced dome -Sensitive to 86dB -65 Hz-35 kHz Freq. Response
Owner reviews from Onkyo's website: http://www.onkyousa.com/prod_review.cfm?model=HT-S780
Basically, if you're looking for quality replacement componants for your system, these are it-- I'm also including high grade thick gauge speaker wire for the center channel. 1/24/2006 12:11:54 PM |

Would you be willing to part w/ the FR/FL speakers as well? I'll trade you my smaller RCA speakers and give you $150 for the whole package. Otherwise I'll pass for now. BTW this is the same system my parents have and the sub does sound great 1/24/2006 1:46:52 PM |

So you want $110 for 2 speakers out of a 7.1 set that comes with a pretty nice receiver for ~$400.
I'll offer $25 on the center. 1/24/2006 1:48:54 PM |

The whole set is a good deal smoothcrim, but the problem is the sum of the individual parts is more -- the deal is still highly reasonable since the speakers and sub are excellent quality. A center channel speaker of this quality costs at lest $99 at the cheapest, and I don't need to mention the shipping cost you'd get raped on with ordering a subwoofer and speaker like this online b/c of the weight. 1/24/2006 2:29:38 PM |
