yeah, i'm sorry to tell ya that it is the same amount of time, but in reality, the things you learn and how you learn in med school is different from anything you have ever done.
the people here in the md/phd program take 7 years to do it all... 4 for med school, 3 for the phd, they just break things up so thta say they do 2 years of med school, x years in research for their phd and then back for their clinical rotations or some combination of that. then you have residency after that which can vary (minimum is 3 years i believe)
