So I bought one of these at the Toys-R-Us going out of business sale for $23.99. It lets you hook up your 360 to your computer monitor (I don't have an HDTV). Anyone ever used one before? My 360 hasn't come in the mail yet so I can't try it out right now. A lot cheaper than buying a new TV since I've already got a giant monitor.
In case you care, video game accessories are 40% off at Toys-R-Us on Glenwood right now. All they have left for the 360 are these cables. They had one universal media remote left but I don't think it'll be there much longer ($18 after 40% off). Video game systems are 10% off (they've got some gameboy micros and like 2 DS's, a bunch of slim PS2s, and a bunch of PSPs) and video games are 20% off. 1/24/2006 7:10:05 PM |

HD over VGA is not the same thing as VGA. I have a feeling that cable is designed to be used with older HDTV sets that use a VGA input. 1/24/2006 7:15:48 PM |

no, you can play on your computer monitor as long as you have a vga INPUT on your monitor. 1/24/2006 8:13:43 PM |

I have it, it's fucking BEAUTIFUL.
It will output to 640 x 480, 848x480, 1024 x 768, 1280 x 720, 1280 x 768, 1280 x 1024, and 1360 x 768.
It looks BAD ASS on my 20.1" Dell 2001fp, and on the several projectors we've used it on. Absolutely worth the purchase, and it's got an optical audio output. AND it comes with a male-male vga adapter AND an RCA->1/8th in adapter so you can plug the sound into your PC. 1/24/2006 9:02:14 PM |

^^ see ^
it has a male-male adapter so you can connect its male cable to the male cable it gives you. i didn't know this because i didn't open it yet, but both my 21" monitors have 2 VGA inputs anyway... 1/24/2006 10:23:53 PM |

can someone who owns one of these tell me if it'll plug into the back of a regular xbox? from the pictures it looks like it might. I've got a 32" lcd tv so this would be perfect if I could use it with my regular xbox 1/25/2006 1:18:32 AM |
