Now, I hate hate fucking hate Wal-Mart, but it's the first thing I found.

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.gsp?cat=166658&path=0%3A5426%3A166658

Looks like about $23.96 for the enlargement, which isn't a bad price. Keep in mind that most 35mm photos won't look too hot at that kind of size.

Wolf/Ritz Camera...or really, any respectable camera shop.

That was my question.

I'm in the dark here on "Camera Shops"

If any of you "actually know" of any good places please post them here.

I know I can go through the phone book just like you but I didn't know if anyone had any real world dealings and could recommend one.

Just go to Wolf Camera. There all over the place in Raleigh http://www.wolfcamera.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/MapQuestView?storeId=10101&catalogId=10001&languageId=-1&city=raleigh&state=nc&zipCode=

Anything they can't do in the store they can have sent off.

peace st camera is a good shop...but they don't do film processing

american fast film is one i've heard highly recommended. there's another, but i forget it.

i use wolf. i've used
- sam's
- bj's
- target
- eckerd
- snapfish
- winkflash (still use them on the rare occasion i'm getting something digital printed, and can wait)
- shutterfly

all for 35mm, and wolf is what i prefer. On the rare occasion i wasn't satisfied, i didn't have to jump through 459 hoops to get it fixed. they don't pull that auto color correction shit (sams, BJs, and target are on my shitlist b/c of that), and they're quick.

at the one in cameron village, 8x10 is the largest they do in-house. it'll be about 2 weeks to get the size you want done (might be less now...i was quoted that 3 weeks before christmas). at the one at north hills, they can go larger, but iirc, it's only up to 10x13 in-house.

Sorry, just assumed with the general question it was 35. Is it 120, or what?

Also, Wolf Camera digitizes prints for enlargement. That probably matters to you.

Its a 5x4 negative from the National Archives but everyhing done through them is done in Maryland and I would be charged before I actually see the print and if I don't like it I have no choice but to keep it.

So I ordered a big negative of the image to have it done locally for 5 bucks
