Im in need of help. It takes me about 3 hours just to translate one story.

you have to be pretty dumb to not be able to translate written spanish. More than half the fucking words have english cognates

Depends on which FLS 300 teacher you have and what stories you're translating. If you have Vilches, she doesn't want you to translate at all. If you're still trying to translate everything you read into English, it's just going to get tougher. My suggestion is just to read it, look up the words that you really have no idea about, and read it again. Don't worry about translating it. That's what I did last semester, and I did fine in the class.
