How do I send a CAD drawing as a .pdf file to someone who doesn't have CAD on their computer? I have never had to do this from my laptop and I cannot remember how I used to do it at work...

select plot and under plotter select plot to jpg

that will allow you to create a picture of the window or extents or whatever

and then just send them the jpg file

Unless you bought the adobe pdf writer, you can't print to pdf on your computer. Do what aficionado said.

pretty sure there is some free software out there to make pdf's...but yeah, you can print to jpg or export to it or something like that...

tell them to get volo view
that should allow them to open the .dwg, just won't be able to edit it
