Kinda weak lineup, this far. Only bands I that really excite me are Phil Lesh and Friends, Bela Fleck, Mike Gordon, and Robert Randolph. And Radiohead headlining? This lineup isn't nearly as impressive as last year.

I will have to mull this over. I had fun when I went in 2004 and the lineup wasn't nearly this good (note: I'm not a jam band fan). I'd be willing to spend about a third of the ticket price just for radiohead. so the question is whether the rest of the lineup warrants another hundred bucks. . . if there was one more big name who didn't come around like beck, I would be sold. . . Maybe more will be announced before the tickets go on sale.

I'm not a huge Radiohead or Beck fan, although they are talented. I've seen Tom Petty twice and his shows are fun except everyone there is singing every song as loud as possible. The Blues Travelers and moe. should be good, and Phil Lesh is always incredible. Dr. John is the man too. Medeski, Martin, and Wood are solid. What type of music does Death Cab play? I've heard alot about them, but never listened to them. This lineup just surprises me compared to years past. No Panic, no Trey Anastasio, no Ratdog, Bisco, Umphrey's...

looks like a solid lineup to me. it's a much broader lineup than years past. beck is great live and i still haven't seen radiohead live. you guys should definitely check out moe. if you have never seen them before. don't be scared by the jamband label most people give them. i would love to go, but its not likely due to vacation time req'd to get there from ny.

There's just not enough bluegrass this year. Last year had arguably the best 2 bluegrass bands on the scene with the Yonder Mountain String Band and Old Crow Medicine Show. Robert Randolph should play with Phil Lesh & Friends. That would make it worth the trip. And where is Gov't Mule? Warren Haynes is a legacy at this and other similar festivals. He plays with about half of the bands there.

^^^ OCMS is more old-time than bluegrass, and YMSB will probably end up getting added when it's all said and done.

Also, Ricky Skaggs has an amazing band, and is pretty good live. He gets evangelical sometimes though at his shows, and I don't know how well that will go over here.

No, because Yonder is playing Telluride the same dates in Colorado

I can't believe some of you aren't familiar with Phil Lesh. He played bass for the Grateful Dead for 40 years. Arguably the most influential bassist in histroy and one of the most influential musicians. Some would dispute this; however, he also wrote classical numbers at UC Berkeley, where he played 1st chair trumpet in the orchestra. But I guess I am talking to people who mostly wanna see Death Cab and My Morning Jacket.

And FYI: Robert Randolph plays pedal steel guitar and it is impossible to not have fun at his shows. Wait until you learn how to march. Mike Gordon was the bassist for Phish, I have no idea who the band he is playing with is.

My thoughts exactly.

I went to a single day music fest in Atlanta three or four years back, and there were some great bands, but there's only so much I can handle after 12 hours of ~100 degree weather.

is bela fleck really that popular? he's been around for ages and i've never really heard anyone make a big deal about him, i went to a free acoustic stage concert/demonstration given by him in hickory 5-6 years ago and there were people there but it wasn't crazy, his best albums had already been out for a while by this point as well... don't get me wrong, i'm glad he's gaining popularity, he certainly deserves it, but i guess i'm just surprised by it, is it some new thing?
