The car is in excellent shape it has 110k, all struts and shocks were replaced, brakes and rotors were done, the major tune ups and oil changes have been done. The car is a5-speed, with Harmon Kardon sound, power seats, alarm, 6 disc factory CD-changer.

i want it, already have a euro motor lined up.

what do you guys think?

id honestly rather go S54 than euro... solid lifters in the euro = valve adjustments every 3k. i also heard its pretty unreliable overall and def not a daily driver motor.

that said it sounds similar to my deal i paid a little less, for 109k w/ new bilsteins/springs, coolingsystem replace/upgrade, RSMs, belts, hoses, plugs, SS brake lines, tranny mounts/enforcers, euro rotors, extra set of wheels, and probably some other maintenance stuff i'm forgetting. complete records and owner history.

be prepared to do RTABs, RSM, and control arm bushings if they havent already been done. i spent probably $300 and a good 4 days on maintenance since i got the car.

yeh, coupe or sedan?

wait a '98 has to be a coupe. sedans were only 96/97 i do believe. or was it 97/98 i cant remember that trivial crap

i dont care much for the euro moter, not even close to being worth the money. in fact its a complete waste of money. if you want to waste money turbo it.

my boss just picked up a 98 M3 with 45K on it for just over $12,500. It was in pretty good shape in the inside, just a few dings on the outside, but it looks like the right front fender might need to be replaced. Still a pretty good deal.

nope, just a DD.

yeah just did that, shit's expensive. i priced out a new ferarri enzo and it was comparatively less expensive. of course they are rarer and less people wreck them so the rates aren't as high.

dunno, i'll find out later today.

yep. can't stand the coupe. need extra doors.

i was only considering it b/c it was so cheap. 1k for a 40k mile engine. plus s/h.

yeah, i'm gonna see if he'll knock off a bit. you got a sweet deal on your car.

i wish the car i'm looking at had all that done to it, i'd get it right now.

I know the M3 that you're talking about. Have you actually heard from that guy? I've been trying to get in touch with him and he doesn't respond to my e-mails.

You did...

As for the euro motor, the deal sounds WAY too good to be true. If anything I'd buy it to re-sell it. The S52 in the U.S. M3s are very stout, I'd rather supercharge that engine w/a positive displacement unit.

Good call on the 4door.

insurance on the sedan is like half as much as a coupe i hear.. i'm surprised you found it to be a lot.. mine is cheap.. 430/6months w/ GEICO. full coverage w/ $500 deductable.

yeah we've talked, hard guy to get in touch with. either he's really busy or just doesn't care to check his email that often.

I know the guy, so it's all good. He got hit from behind and got a CSL to replace it.

Supercharging is good.

let me clarify. i've got two honda's with rather low insurance rates and that's why I considered the rates for the M3 rather pricey. i pay less than $600/year for two cars w/full coverage and a $500 deductable through nationwide. GEICO wanted my kidneys and 1 testicle for coverage, even though I have a spotless credit and driving record, over $1k/year. GEICO and Progressive insurance are a bunch of fuckers.

When I was 22 and only had one ticket on my record I priced an M3 for insurance. Geico wanted $1500 every 6 months. I declined.
