I used to be a bagger for Lowes.
They want you to double bag certain items to avoid the shitstorm customers start up whenever there's a bag failure that results in spilled groceries. 2/3/2006 5:22:29 PM |

That makes sense, but the last two times I've went they were double bagging *everything*. That just doesn't make sense to me. In addition, it's like they weren't even trying to be efficient with the bags, underfilling bags and just using another one (or two, since they were double bagging). 2/3/2006 5:25:12 PM |

If that really annoys you, then buy your own canvas grocery bags and take them with you to the store. 2/3/2006 5:33:21 PM |

Bingo, when idiots are suing because their bag full of cans broke on the way into the house and hurt their toe, you can never be too careful.2/3/2006 5:35:07 PM |

I wonder how many grocery bags the same amount of oil wasted in a fuel inefficient SUV that is idling at an unsynchronized stoplight would make?
But you gotta start somewhere. 2/3/2006 10:04:42 PM |
