^unlike betamax, laserdisc has very good quality. Some people even prefer it over DVD. The price is negotiable.

i don't know if they are or not, but I know laserdisc still have many fans. There are also stuff you can't find on DVDs that available on LD. For example, alot of disney stuff are not available on DVD.
