yeah it's only a matter of time, he is getting an open source license and it's java based. While he say he doesn't want it leak out to the public, by just distributing the product to the groups he plans to will only allow for it to be leaked eventually. 2/5/2006 12:50:39 PM |

The problem with it leaking is that then forgers and image manipulaters will learn how to defeat it, or use it as a gauge for how good they've done their work. It will accelerate improvement in digital image manipulation because forgers will be able to directly test whether their work passes muster against the best benchmark used by police to determine authenticity. 2/6/2006 4:36:32 AM |
