Tell us the laptop you have, the usb devices you are attempting to use, what actions you have tried/taken so far, etc.

We can't give you much information without you giving us some information first.

if it's a thinkpad t40 it's the system board, send it in for replacement if it's under warranty

neither port is recognizing my printer or usb drive
