Does anyone know of any map-type sites out there that have recent satellite images (since November/December). It seems like many sites, like google maps, windows local live, etc. are over a year old with their images.
thanks! 2/8/2006 9:14:52 AM |

of what area? a big city or the countryside?
you can try the terraserver satellites. I doubt they're any newer, but they do show the date taken for each shot http://www.terraserver.com/

Wake County has 2004 color orthos..those are the newest I'm aware of. I believe those are USGS Urban 133's - not sure tho.
**Let me clarify -- it's Raleigh/Durham area coverage..it's just on Wake's IMAPS site...http://imaps.co.wake.nc.us

Recent satellite and arieal photos generally cost money. There are a variety of companies that sell imagery. 2/8/2006 12:11:24 PM |
