^^ same here. got out of my P. Chem review session around 6:45. made it back to the apartment around 6:55, and got to Sammy's at 7. they were packed to the door. went to Jax and there was no place to sit or hardly stand. didn't feel like standing since i did want something to eat and drink. then went to playmaker's. i could tell just by the parking lot that they were packed. headed to EV. they didn't have the game on, but were listening to it on the radio. jumped back in the car, and continued to listen to the radio. i decided to head to Cookout since it was halftime and get a big double burger tray through the drive thru, and just head back to my apartment and listen on the clock radio.

The place was totally unprepared for the onslaught of NCSU fans and fucked up. We ended up getting two free appetizer coupons each, and a two huge platter coupons for free as well.

Watching a tape of the game right now....I have to say, there is a reason these announcers are calling games on ESPNU and not on the main network. Each team has media kits that all the members of the media get that includes how to pronounce player names....yet these guys are saying "Ott-sur" and "Sin-dack". Its your fucking job to read this shit before a game and you cant do fucking do it? Also I saw the tackle that should have been an intentional...it was the most obvious intentional foul Ive seen in my entire life and these guys didnt even question it.

TWC is really bullshit. We have digital cable back home in Winston-Salem with ESPN Full court. First, Digital Cable doesnt even carry ESPN-U, second, since Full Court carries all games not on the ESPN family, you cant get ESPNU basketball games on Full Court.

So basically you're paying for an assload of shit, probably expecting these channels, or games to be on your tv and they're not. THis happens with other games too. Full court is horse shit unless its tournament time.

I don't think you guys understand...this is ESPN's fault, not the cable company's.

ESPN is trying to charge cable companies out the fucking ass to carry this channel. I've heard it's ridiculous price that their pitching. And as much as I would probably pay for it, and a few other die hard college fans would pay for it, there aren't that many other people that see it as a high priority. I mean...would you pay that much extra to watch one NC State game a year?? I would pay it just because I love college basketball and I'm sure they'd have a good college football game on every now and then...but that's about it. It's not a huge market. Between ESPN, ESPN2, local stations, cbs, abc, nbc, espn classic, FSN....there are enough channels that will get the good games on. ESPNU is carrying a good game every now and then to try and push the cable companies to pay a ridiculous price to pick them up.

I say fuck ESPN.

Is it ESPN or ABC doing the dirty work?

We also have HD at home, and we get fucking EVERYTHING except anything ABC HD and it took a year and a half for them to include ESPN HD. We still cant get ABCHD or ESPN2HD. I find this to be utter horse shit. How much more do they want us to pay for 2 channels?


The way I look at it....If you have a High Definition TV, and you cant see all of the games in HD that are broadcast in HD, you may as well not have it at all. Its frustrating as hell to hear about a game broadcast in "beautiful HD" when you have HD, and you cant see it.
