i have probably about 80% of every episode since the premier in 1989. the last 4 or 5 series are in dvd quality too. if you want them, bring some dvd-r discs over.

I got no respect for top gear. Ill watch it for the cars, but everything they say is bullshit. When they are doing their "automotive journalism", half the time what they say contradicts the general consensus of the automotive press, and the other half of the time they contradict themselves (unless of course, they're doing their typical gushing routine "OMF THIS IS THE BEST CARRAIGE I'VE EVAR DRIVEN CHIP CHIP").

For example, when they were doing that pointless "Miata vs dog" stunt, the short guy was like "This is the best car for this kind of driving". WTF? First off, its a friggin dog track, how often do people drive on dog tracks? Second, maybe you'd think a 4wd car would be better for off-road use hm? Ever heard of a Subaru?

Fifth gear is a little better because they actually do interesting automotive journalism instead of doing donuts in supercars all day long. And they actually sound like they know what they're talking about.

top gear isnt supposed to be a hard facts car show, its suposed to be an amusing, comical, fun show about cars. if you want boring hard facts watch fifth gear, if you want to see beautiful film of supercars racing trains across europe, or $500 italian sports cars in an endurance challenge, or $100 cars being driven into a wall... watch top gear

if you think top gear is pure automotive journalism you are really missing the point of the show
