mangini never got a hit against me in high school or legion ball lol, but look where i am now.

he's a good guy as well if ya'll dont know him. i played with him for a couple of fall's/summer's on showcase teams and he is a true workhorse. he was also player of the year in whatever summer league he played in this past summer (the Northwoods league I think, in Canada).

2-3 today certainly doesn't hurt his chances of a 3rd straight Player of the Week, especially with two hits coming against the 'Huskers.

before mangini came here, he was being looked at hard by the Reds. he wasn't getting "assured" enough money/high enough pick by them so he obviously opted for State. he took BP with Griffey Jr (and other potential draft picks) up there at their field right before coming here.

Richmond is a big test for this team. After playing and falling short against a team like Nebraska, and then having to bounce back the next morning is a tough thing to do. Baseball's a great game, big test today for the Pack.

I went to my first game of the season on Saturday, I had a real good time. Free admission for students, $5 for others. The team is fun to watch, and there is lots of eye candy in the stands. Y'all should definitely check it out.
