Apparently the student said "nigga" to him, and the teacher responded back with the same phrase... and now the teacher is suspended indefinetely.

i always thought that too. i mean i wouldnt use any "form" of it in mixed company if i was unsure of their standing on it, but i mean...they say it in the fucking video so why avoid it just to be pc?

My classes are about 95% black at my high school, and I hear it from the students (toward me) all day long. The guy is an idiot, but I can see how after hearing it as much as I do from my students, that it might slip when responding to a kid that is insulting you with it.

When they try to call the teacher a liar, yes it becomes important. They are billing him as racist (probably is) and a liar. Those are two attacks to his character.
