when I turn on my xbox it goes to the "your disk may be dirty, make sure its an xbox game or dvd," and all that jazz. When I do get it to work, I'll be in the middle of a game and it will do to the "your disk may be dirty or damaged" screen. Anybody know what could be wrong with it or where I could take it to get it fixed?

original x-box? try one of the lens cleaning kits/cd's. you can put that in the drive and it'll clean the lens.

if it's a 360 and it doesnt have the newest software installed, connect to live and it'll download a software update to correct the problem.

that or your disc may actually not be any good.

this is prolly an old xbox (version 1) and the DVDroms weren't the best in the world. You can try to clean it or look on google about it. I'm willing to bet there are 100000000000000 threads/pages about this EXACT same thing.

PS: This is about the best answer you are going to get on TWW. Just try google next time.
