are you just talking about a blade that's been worn out? Or do they really make a "toothless" hacksaw blade?
You could flip the blade and have the flat edge pointed down... 2/12/2006 10:35:57 PM |

i'm trying to saw a carbon fiber pipe/tube. i suppose i could use a regular bladed hacksaw with a guide. but i read that those don't work. i don't really want to fuck anything up.

for a good clean cut you could use a radiator hose clamp, you know the ring w/ the adjustable screw. i'm not sure if that's the right name, haha. but yeah, u could put that around your pipe/tube and that'd get you a good straight cut if you followed the clamp. hth 2/12/2006 10:52:46 PM |

pretty sure that article is just recommending a good metal/tile cutting blade, versus a wood blade.
^ a hacksaw is really what he should use, as carbon/cf cuts like butter anyway. using a power tool is waaaayyy overkill.
