I just did a tally and realized how good of a next 4-5 weeks it will be for all XBOX360 owners.

Honestly, I haven't seen screen shots, but I really couldn't care less about having next-gen graphics if it doesn't improve enough on the gameplay to justify $400.

the only people that say stuff like "Yeah....still not worth buying" are the ones that obviously do not know what they are missing on, because they don't have the system. jt because you sampled a kiosk, or played at your friend's house != actually owning it yourself. btw, i can't wait to see the disappointed on ps3 fans' faces when they finally come to the reality that the 360 is superior. question: was the ps2 better than the xbox? i will answer that for you - no! another question: so what makes you think that the ps3 will be better than the 360? i will answer that for you - because you are a dumbass.

BTW, so far I'm playing arcade, PGR3, COD2, and DOA4, and having a blast in gameplay. The 5.1, HDTV, grfx bump only makes things better.

If you wanna stick with WOW and run instances thats fine, but don't troll universally agreed good, fun games/titles.

^ I mean, yeah, I agree with that totally. I have no problem with getting both a 360 and a PS3, IF the 360 starts carrying the types of games that I generally like to play. I never got a standard XBox, though, and I can honestly say that I don't feel like I missed out on a single game.

You didnt. I have one and ALL i used it for was XBMC / hard drive with emulators. But 360 is impressing me. For one, I have it easily hooked up using media connect to make it a music/photo hub. The HD ouput and 5.1 requirement is really damn nice.

Plus those titles all above have been previewed/hands-ons with all major publications and the verdict is overwhelming positive minus like Rumble Roses. Some great shit coming out, and fast.

^ Yeah, I think if I got the 360 now I would mainly use it for media center stuff. There's certainly some games out there that interest me, but nothing that's gonna knock me on my ass quite yet.

well, i look at buying videogames like this - people spend their money on entertainment, whether it drugs, clothes, cars, whores, alcohol, golf, hiking, etc, and i don't see videogames as something that should not be included. no matter what anyone likes to spend their money on, i will bet you that someone thinks that it is a stupid idea.

agreed, i got one for xmas but i had played several at Target and Walmart before getting one. I was not impressed until i got it @ home on my 51 HD Sony TV and played Quake 4 in 720p. Simply amazing. I just wish they would fucking put some games out already damn it!!

Black is coming out on 2/28 - it is an Xbox game, not a 360 game, but it should compatible. If this is the case, it is well worth the purchase.

lol, oh lord Kainen. You just have to throw out WoW attacks since it is one of the best PC games on the market. The problem many of us have with the list of what the 360 has to offer is both type and quality. I am sorry, but FPS dont count for me as console games. I enjoy them far more on PC. Think it is a shallow opinion? Too bad, it is a very common opinion.

Second problem that I have is quality, and this is where 360 is bombing. Half of the games released during the first few months were games that were also on PS2 and GC but the 360 ones had less content. Where do I sign up for this extra $10 cost for less content?

Then, there are games like Oblivion which will also be on the PC. Even if they both have the same content, PC will be better. You know why? Mod Community. PC has always had a strong mod community. Not to mention the fact that all ES games have you prone to getting stuck in bad places, which, if you accidentally save, ruins the entire game.

Right now, the 360 has the Live Arcade going for it. Its very cool, but not $500 cool.

I enjoy PC games too.

But there is something really fucking useful about it's features if you have a nice home theatre rig at home. It really is another level of experience even outside of games when you can stream all media from your computer. That in itself is worth half the price of the console (imo of course).

Grfx/gameplay/live! is really good, plus 5.1 , 1080i on everything you do, including arcade games is quite worth the pricetag.

And games like morrowind i'd much rather play in 40" HD with surround sound Dig. Dolby II anyday over my computer. Sorry...if I like it that much after I beat it, I'll get the PC version when the mod community wakes up year or two down the road with something worth it.

well you could play ur comp stuff on the tv too but itd be a bit of a pain in the ass if you use it for other things. personally i just like getting away from the actual comp and having some quick games i can play for a bit and drop.

^dumbest thing i've ever heard, but ill respond anyway.

1. ease of setup when playing on large-screen/nice speakers/etc.
2. cheaper for friends with less money to all play a game
3. easier for friends to play a qucik 2-4 player game or tourney.
4. more portable for the most part
5. for someone like me it is a chance to get off the computer, even if it is similar
6. guaranteed compatibility for all games
7. no worries about upgrades, viruses, adware, etc.

I owned one for the better part of a month.

The problem with the console as a whole is that there really isn't shit on it.

The best two games are Geometry Wars and DOA4, and you only have to buy one of those.
