of course it has a new bench to sit on now. ^that one is 30 years old. That shopsmith is a 10er model built in the late 50's. I stripped every piece down and had a friend powder coat the whole thing and put a dry film lubricant coating on the rails. Polished the plain aluminum surfaces and wax them frequntly to keep corrosion away.
Can't have mine though, been in the family too long. But you can find some on Ebay used for $250-$1000 depending on the amount of work needed. http://shopsmithrepair.com/ is located in Raleigh and may be of service to you. http://www.mkctools.com/ also does good work and sells parts on Ebay though they aren't local 2/18/2006 9:36:18 PM |

I've got one, with everything, planer, drill press, lathe tablesaw etc. and lathe tools, attachments. let me know if you still need one in really good shape $1000
