Have a 50" older TV. I have a good idea what's causing it but need someone to repair it that can do it in house. It's a 400lb TV that's a bitch to move.

Anyone you guys used that is good? The people I work for are booked solid for weeks.

it will cost you more for the repair man than the tv is even worth. go buy a new one.

between what they'll charge to transport and fix it, yeah you might just want to invest in a new tv.

50" plasma screens are a bit lighter than the beast you have... and only a couple thousand

The TV is very nice actually. Sure it's no plasma or LCD but i don't want to invest in a new TV right now. I'd much rather just repair this one it's used for video games and that's just about it. This TV has to be fixed in home and the repair is very simple (I'm told) but i lack the technical skills to fix it.

it's rear projection right? it's likely the lamp's just dead. those are about 300 bucks or so sometimes. something you could replace yourself if that's the problem.

If it's not the lamp, or it's a CRT, and you're saying it's a simple repair, you may want to try it yourself. You'll save ALOT of money.

Not the lamp. It's a faulty relay at the front of the TV on it's board.
