Nah for real, on the up side we'll still very likely get second in the ACC.

Looking ahead, Carolina plays Maryland, a tough and rising(best bubble team in the ACC?) Virginia, and then at Cameron. That's one loss maybe two.

While we get BC at home and Wake, which is at most 1 loss, and likely we'll win both. We beat BC last time and we have been bouncing back from losses well this year.

So if we beat BC we can assume we've got it short of a miracle.

I don't think we bounce back well for BC. Evtimov is banged up and like it or not, he is probably our best leader out there at a time when we need some Sr. leadership to step up and say lets forget about getting dominated by our rival. I say we lose by 10 to BC and the Fire Herb talk gets even louder. I'll even go as far to say if we lose to BC we'll lose to Wake too.

You saying that we lose to Wake Forest, who has only won two ACC games? You're expecting us, who hasn't lost to a team that isn't going to the NCAAs to drop our final game this year to the worst team in the ACC?

Yea, my coworkers were saying I was being negative and talking crazy when I said yesterday "you just never know what NCSU team you will get on any given night and if we get blown out by 20 it won't be a surprise."

It's the mentality, the feel of the team is a lot less positive in the second half of the season. It started with the GT loss. We were lucky VT ran out of steam or that would have been another one. Evtimov is the only real motivator we have this year. If he isn't at 100% because of his foot, and doesn't have us having good practices, and isn't in the starting line up to get us fired, then we are going to come out and get it handed to us again by BC. And another bad loss in a row will be just the thing to get us blind sided by WFU.

I've been watching to much Herb Sendek coached bball to have rose colored glasses at this point. This isn't like seasons past where we had shaky games early and through the middle only to pour it on for the ACC tourney and the dance. We are stumbling at the wrong time.

If we win one more game we'll get at worse 3rd place in the conference, which has a first round bye for the ACC tournament. And assuming both the 2nd and 3rd team both win their opening games, they will play. SO there isnt much difference. It would only be a matter of who we would play in our first game.

4th place gets a bye too but then we'd most likely play dook in the semis....
