i just bought an external drive. it's 160gb and i want to split the format...80 for pc and 80 for Mac. what program do i need/could i run?

okay. the deal is that i originally formatted it for a mac on campus. now i'm at home (with my dell) and the computer's not even picking up that i have the usb hooked up.

what's next?

Just use FAT32, it'll work for both.

^ That's true, but fat32 sucks. It won't hold single files over 2GB (or is it 4?) like disk images. Useless for certain types of backups.
