haha, nice. i may be tearing mine down too, i ran it torwards the end of the season and it was pretty down on power/running rough. hopefully just some gunk it the carbs from it sitting alot over the past year, but it sounded/acted oddly familiar to it's original demise of a stretched rod and the #1 piston hitting the head

if that's what it is, i'm going balls out on it this time and throwing reliability/practicality out the window. it's borderline as is anyway.

yeah i should have jumped on a deal on a gp1300r i saw on one of the forums. guy up in VA sold one that he had taken all the decals off of and had scratched up a little for something ridiculous (under $4k and wasn't a scam). he just needed that much to finish paying for something else he had bought and wanted the jetski gone. ah well, raptor 660r, corvette, surburban and jetskis in one year is enough for me i suppose

and for the skis... the sea doo rxt, rxp and maybe the 3d(110hp, but it's sit down, standup, cart)
the rxt, rxp are 215 hp 4 strokes...

not sure the hp of the gp1300r(we don't carry those anymore)

the RXP/RXT is 2/3 seat, 3d one seat

400ex's are getting pretty cheap now. shouldn't be terribly hard to find one that may have some cosmetic issues for 1500-2000.

haha yeah... I've always had good experiences with them though... hence me working out there...

Yeah i rode my friend's 400ex last weekend and then hopped on his 450 yzf and it's crazy how much power that thing has... i was doin a good 50-60mph in 5th gear on the 400ex and he was ahead of me on the 450yzf leading and poppin wheelies...

the 450 is a better racer...

but the motor is a bit wilder than the one found in the 660's or the newer 700 FI's...

I think both quads need wider axles from the factory

good deal on the new job, they have always been less than good to me.. When my wife went in there looking at helmets, the chick helping her was nice till she asked what my wife rode, when my wife responded "buell" the girl honestly just walked away from her, and did not say another word.

Last experience I had was when they would not let me pick up a part I pre ordered and pre paid for cause i did nto have the credit card on me...
