The Vietnam Vets thrift store on Tryon has a huge selection, but it'll be hard to find anything good.
Plato's Closet is kind of expensive for a thrift store, but is much cleaner, better organized, and has better stuff. 2/25/2006 11:51:41 AM |

Charlotte has an excellent selection if you are willing to drive / from that area. Wal-mart has Puritan ties for $9; shirts for $12; and shoes for $15; socks for $2. Total Cost: ~$60." |
I've picked up several suits that are normally $300+ with this method. Get somebody experienced to go with you ... I borrowed my dad. Cheap suits look cheap always and nice suits look nice always. No reason not get a nice suit for cheap.2/25/2006 12:09:46 PM |

what are you looking for? Dress Shirts? Suits?
It seems like Belk's always has suits marked down 50% and another 50% on top of that.
Target has cute stuff too 2/25/2006 12:29:10 PM |

Hecht's is having some sales right now
so is Belk, more than likely
but if you want cheap all the time, try a Van Heusen outlet...not bad shit, and about 2/3 the price of other shit 2/25/2006 12:41:24 PM |

I tried target and didn't really find anything. I guess techinically I have slacks and what not... so maybe just dress shirts and possibly a nice skirt? I just need some more buisness type stuff. I'll try the other suggestions though. Thank you. The only problem is that thrift shops are so hard to sift through... i guess it could be worth it in the long run. 2/26/2006 12:33:21 AM |

last weekend Lord and Taylor's in Crabtree was having a huge sale because they are going out of business. Things were marked 80% off, and some even lower. If they are still there, you could check that out. 2/26/2006 1:24:20 AM |

Lord and Taylor's was picked clean when I was at the mall yesterday. They still have shelving, mannequins and other furniture/display stuff they're trying to sell. 2/26/2006 4:55:12 PM |
